President Trump posted Wednesday on Truth Social that Mary Peltola “shouldn’t be allowed to run,” CBS News and Axios reported. On Polymarket, the contract asking whether he will make 160–179 Truth Social posts during the Oct. 23–30 counting window was priced at 34% as of Wednesday evening ET.
Key takeaways
- The contract requires 160 to 179 posts, including main feed posts, quote posts and reposts.
- The latest price is above the contract’s earlier nine-day range.
- Reporting on Trump’s Wednesday post establishes activity, but not the tracker’s cumulative count.
- The counting window closes Oct. 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET.
The 160–179 contract jumped above its earlier range
The contract rose from 13% on Oct. 27 to 34% on Oct. 28, a 21-point jump. That puts the latest reading above the earlier nine-day range, whose low was 10% on Oct. 26 and whose previous high was 28% on Oct. 28.
Trading activity was modestly above its baseline: weekly volume was $6,303, compared with a past-month weekly average of $5,976. The sharp price move therefore came with somewhat busier trading, rather than a comparably large increase in volume.
The rise came as news outlets reported fresh Truth Social activity. But that timing does not show why the price moved. The reported Peltola post establishes that Trump was posting; it does not establish the cumulative count used to settle the contract.
The higher-count alternative also remains material. Polymarket’s separate contract for 200+ posts was priced at 28% as of Wednesday evening ET. That is below the 160–179 contract individually, but it prices a different outcome: a total beyond the lead contract’s upper boundary.
The tracker must finish inside a bounded range
The lead contract asks whether the tracker’s Post Counter records 160 to 179 Trump Truth Social posts between October 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET and October 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. Main feed posts, quote posts and reposts count.
This is not an “at least 160” question. The upper boundary matters as much as the lower one: additional qualifying posts can bring a total into the range, but can also carry it beyond 179.
The available reporting supplies no tracker reading. There is therefore no basis to say how many posts separate the current total from either boundary. Nor can the substance or prominence of a reported post substitute for the Post Counter figure.
A final count outside the band would defeat the contract
The counting window ends October 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. A final Post Counter of 160 to 179 satisfies the contract; a final count below 160 or above 179 resolves it the other way. The rules provide that counting deadline, but no separate resolution date.
Until the window closes, the relevant development is the accumulation of qualifying posts against both boundaries. The market’s upward move shows a changed estimate of a bounded total—not evidence that the tracker has already reached it.
