West Virginia online casino revenue came in at an estimated $39.5 million in September, according to reports published by Saturday Down South and Gambling.com using weekly West Virginia Lottery interactive-wagering filings.
Both outlets reported the September total was about 15.5% higher than the $34.2 million recorded in September 2025. Both also reported September revenue was down 3.4% from August 2026 revenue of $40.9 million.
Because the West Virginia Lottery reports iGaming revenue weekly rather than by calendar month, the September figure is an approximation rather than an official monthly total.
Estimated September play generated about $5.9 million in taxes
Saturday Down South and Gambling.com both reported that, at West Virginia’s 15% tax rate, September’s online casino revenue translated to roughly $5.9 million for the state.
Saturday Down South reported the estimated September total at $39,456,040 based on weekly figures that covered the weeks ending Sept. 5, Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Sept. 26, and Oct. 3.
Gambling.com likewise reported that the estimate was built from five weekly filings published by the West Virginia Lottery.
West Virginia’s 2026 total has already topped $350 million
Saturday Down South reported West Virginia’s online casino revenue reached $353.7 million through the end of September. Gambling.com also reported West Virginia’s online casinos generated roughly $353.7 million through the first nine months of 2026.
That leaves the market closing in on last year’s full-year result. Saturday Down South reported West Virginia finished 2025 with $369.3 million in online casino revenue, and Gambling.com also cited that same 2025 total.
Saturday Down South reported the week ending Oct. 3 produced $10.6 million in revenue, the state’s second-highest weekly total on record. The outlet also said West Virginia’s previous highest weekly revenue was $10.7 million for the week ending March 7, 2026.
West Virginia players should expect the next signals on market momentum to come from future weekly West Virginia Lottery reports rather than a standalone official monthly release. If you gamble, do so responsibly and only if you are 21 or older.
