BetMGM Casino has launched the Game of Thrones™ online slot in West Virginia, giving players in the state access to the title as part of a four-state U.S. rollout.
According to BetMGM, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Blueprint Gaming, the game is now available on BetMGM Casino in West Virginia, New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The same title is also available through Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
What is available in West Virginia
The new slot uses six reels and 4,096 ways to win, according to the announcement. BetMGM said the game includes an Iron Throne Bonus that is triggered by at least three bonus symbols and awards 10 Iron Throne Spins.
The published feature list also includes fixed jackpot prizes of 20x, 50x, 200x and 2,500x.
Blueprint Gaming Product Director Charlie Jacka said the company sees the branded release as one of its biggest launches to date and said the game is designed to bring the characters, soundtrack and world of Westeros into an online slot format.
Promotions tied to the launch
BetMGM said it will run promotions and player rewards around the release, including bonus spin offers, sweepstakes, leaderboard competitions and daily prize opportunities.
One confirmed promotion is a $25,000 leaderboard competition scheduled for Oct. 5-11. The source also said Borgata Online Casino will award up to 10 million Bonus Spins throughout September, though that offer applies to Borgata’s markets in New Jersey and Pennsylvania rather than West Virginia.
The companies behind the game said it previously launched in Ontario in April and later gained traction in Alberta after regulated iGaming began there in mid-July.
For West Virginia players, the main confirmed change is simple: the Game of Thrones slot is now part of BetMGM Casino’s online game library in the state. As with any casino product, players should review the terms of any promotion before participating and gamble responsibly.
