West Virginia online casinos generated about $38.3 million in June, according to figures compiled from weekly West Virginia Lottery reports. That left the state’s regulated iGaming market at roughly $439.2 million for fiscal year 2025/26, a sharp increase from the prior year. June was slightly lower than May, but still well ahead of the same month in 2025.
Using the state’s 15% tax rate, the June total translated to about $5.7 million in tax revenue from online casino play. The latest figures also show how operator performance shifted across the state during the fiscal year.
June closes fiscal year on a strong note
The June 2026 total was $38,317,894. That was down 3.1% from May’s $39.5 million, but up 41.9% from June 2025’s $27.0 million.
For the full fiscal year, West Virginia online casinos produced $439,159,669 in revenue. That was up 42.7% from $307,728,449 in FY 2024/25.
The source notes that these monthly figures are approximations because the West Virginia Lottery releases weekly iGaming revenue reports rather than official monthly reports. Still, the trend is clear: the state’s online casino market finished the fiscal year with strong annual growth.
Operator results shifted during FY 2025/26
The fiscal-year breakdown shows gains at three license holders and a decline at one.
Mountaineer increased from $52,125,878 in FY 2024/25 to $88,019,825 in FY 2025/26. Charles Town also moved higher, rising from $108,640,091 to $145,920,622.
The biggest jump came at Mardi Gras, where revenue climbed from $7,618,472 to $88,215,692, a 1,057.9% increase. The source attributes an important market change during the year to FanDuel Casino moving from Greenbrier to Mardi Gras in September near the start of the fiscal year.
Greenbrier moved in the opposite direction, falling from $139,344,009 in FY 2024/25 to $117,003,531 in FY 2025/26.
Those shifts help explain why the statewide total kept climbing even as the mix of revenue among West Virginia’s license holders changed significantly over the course of the year.
What West Virginia players should watch next
West Virginia’s new fiscal year began on July 1, 2026, so the next weekly Lottery reports will start showing whether the market can maintain the same pace into FY 2026/27. The June figures do not point to a new player-facing access change on their own, but they do show that the state’s regulated online casino market remains active and that operator positioning within West Virginia can shift over time.
