West Virginia’s online casino market generated $314.2 million from January through July 2026, up from $200.8 million in the same period last year, according to revenue figures cited in a new U.S. iGaming roundup. That was a 56.5% year-over-year increase, one of the fastest growth rates among the seven legal online casino states included in the report.
West Virginia posted one of the biggest percentage gains
The source says the seven legal iGaming states combined for $7.09 billion in revenue through July 2026, compared with $6.00 billion in the first seven months of 2025. That was an overall increase of 18.3%, or $1.09 billion.
Among individual states, West Virginia and Delaware posted the highest percentage growth rates. Delaware rose from $69.2 million to $105.5 million, a 52.5% increase, while Rhode Island climbed from $30.4 million to $42.7 million, up 40.5%.
The larger online casino markets also continued to grow:
- Pennsylvania: $1.94 billion to $2.20 billion, up 13.0%
- Michigan: $1.72 billion to $2.11 billion, up 22.3%
- New Jersey: $1.63 billion to $1.87 billion, up 14.5%
- Connecticut: $397.6 million to $457.5 million, up 15.1%
National online casino revenue is topping $1 billion per month
The report says U.S. online casino revenue is now averaging more than $1 billion per month in 2026.
Michigan added the most revenue in absolute terms, increasing by about $384.4 million through July. The source attributes part of that gain to new operator launches, including Hard Rock Bet Casino in December and bet365 Casino Michigan in April. Hard Rock Casino has produced $148.9 million in Michigan revenue in 2026, while bet365 has generated $32.1 million since April.
In Delaware, the source says growth was helped by online poker returning in June 2025 after an 18-month blackout.
