Playtech reported stronger-than-expected first-half 2026 results, with growth in the Americas helping lift revenue, profit, and cash generation. For West Virginia readers, the clearest local link in the update was Playtech’s note that it added FanDuel in West Virginia as part of its recent U.S. rollout activity.

Revenue for the six months to June 30 reached €425.1 million, up 10% from €387.0 million a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA rose 77% to €162.5 million, while adjusted post-tax profit climbed 472% to €95.0 million.

Americas growth was a major driver in H1

Playtech said revenue from the U.S. and Canada increased 161% year over year. The company also expanded its regulated U.S. presence to six states after launching in Connecticut.

Alongside that expansion, Playtech said it added Fanatics across several states, FanDuel in West Virginia, and Bet365 in Michigan. The source did not provide terms of those rollouts or describe any West Virginia-specific change beyond naming the FanDuel launch activity.

Latin America was another growth engine. Playtech said underlying revenue in the region increased 29%, led by Mexico and Colombia, with customer acquisition improving during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

B2B and investment income lifted profitability

Playtech’s B2B revenue rose 14% to €394.8 million, and adjusted EBITDA from that division increased 75% to €128.1 million. Regulated markets accounted for 83% of B2B revenue, up from 81% a year earlier.

The company also reported 20% growth in SaaS revenue and 8% growth in Live revenue. Separately, adjusted investment income reached €34.2 million, largely reflecting Playtech’s 30.8% holding in Caliente Interactive. Net dividends from that investment totaled €35.8 million in the first half.

Free cash flow improved to €101.0 million, compared with €29.5 million for all of 2025, and Playtech ended June with €39.2 million in net cash, excluding IFRS 16 lease liabilities.

Management said Playtech had delivered a first half “significantly ahead of our expectations at the start of the year.”

What to watch next

Playtech said it made a strong start to the second half, but expects adjusted EBITDA to come in lower than H1 as HRD revenue normalizes and UK remote gaming duty affects the full period. Even so, the company said it remains on track to generate more than €270 million in adjusted EBITDA in 2026.

For West Virginia, this update is more of an industry signal than a state policy change. The source reported operator activity involving FanDuel in West Virginia, but it did not include West Virginia-specific revenue, regulatory action, or legislation.
