Delaware North’s West Virginia gaming operations have a new name. The company confirmed in July 2026 that it is retiring the Betly brand across the state as part of a broader corporate rebrand of its entire gaming division under the name Ember Entertainment.

The change replaces Betly’s online casino and sportsbook in West Virginia with Ember Casino and Ember Sportsbook, both still powered by the same Playtech platform Betly used. The transition builds on Ember Casino’s earlier debut in New Jersey in June 2026, which served as a testing ground before the broader rollout.

On the retail side, Delaware North’s two West Virginia properties — Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in Nitro and the Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino & Racetrack in Wheeling — keep their existing local names but now operate under the Ember Entertainment umbrella. Both properties, which had separately supported Betly’s West Virginia launch, are now grouped together as a single unified retail presence tied to the same online brand.

The rebrand also connects the two casinos to Ember Rewards, a relaunch of Delaware North’s former Lucky North Rewards loyalty program. For the first time, players can earn and redeem rewards across both in-person visits to Mardi Gras or Wheeling Island and online play — an integration Betly customers didn’t previously have.

Company leadership framed the change as a response to shifting consumer expectations, aiming to link physical casinos, digital gaming, and rewards into one connected ecosystem rather than operating them as separate, loosely related products. Betly’s sportsbook brand has similarly been phased out in Ohio and Arkansas as Delaware North consolidates its digital footprint nationwide.
