AptPay said at G2E 2026 that it plans to integrate directly with Visa Direct, a move the company says will expand its card payout capabilities for iGaming and other digital-first businesses. The company also said it will add Visa Direct Alias, a U.S.-only service that is currently in pilot.
For players, the clearest takeaway is that the payments provider is aiming to support more real-time ways to receive funds through eligible Visa cards and participating digital wallets. AptPay did not announce a launch date, and no West Virginia-specific operator rollout or market change was reported.
What AptPay says the Visa deal adds
According to the company, direct connectivity with Visa will strengthen its existing card payout infrastructure and broaden access to eligible card and account endpoints. AptPay already offers card-based payouts through its multi-rail payment orchestration platform.
CEO Shams Syed said the goal is to make it easier for users to access funds quickly rather than think about the payment rails behind the transaction. He also said Visa Direct Alias could let participating operators send funds to eligible users through aliases such as phone numbers, email addresses, or supported wallet handles to participating digital wallets in real time.
The release noted that actual fund availability depends on the receiving financial institution and region. It also said Visa Direct Alias is currently in pilot in the United States and available only to eligible participating clients and platforms.
What is known, and what is not
AptPay framed the announcement as part of a broader strategy to provide a unified money-movement infrastructure across North America, including iGaming. For operators, the company says its platform is designed to simplify connectivity, routing, reconciliation, and other payment operations through a single integration.
Several key details remain unclear. AptPay did not say when the direct Visa integration will go live, which clients will be eligible for the pilot wallet service, or which digital wallets will be supported.
