Top 5 Places For West Virginia Sports Betting On Super Bowl LVII

Written By Darren Cooper on January 30, 2023

West Virginia sports bettors can get a bet down and party down on Super Bowl Sunday at multiple locations. So here’s a list of the five best West Virginia sports betting spots from which to watch and place a bet on Super Bowl LVII.

West Virginia does not have a direct rooting interest in Super Bowl LVII, but that doesn’t mean that the Mountain State doesn’t want to enjoy watching the big game.

Super Bowl LVII takes place Sunday, Feb. 12, in Arizona, with kickoff at approximately 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. But the snacking, partying, and having fun will start way before then.

The Super Bowl is an American institution — and the day after should be a national holiday (just sayin’). Betting on the Super Bowl is a growing passion, whether it’s betting on the winner, the coin flip, or the length of the national anthem.

No. 1: The Greenbrier Casino Club

Location: 101 W. Main Street, White Sulphur Springs

Why It’s Super: Yes, the Greenbrier is one of the grandest resorts in America, but it can also party when it’s time for the Super Bowl. The Greenbrier’s rocking sports bar is called Slammin’ Sammy’s (named after legendary golfer Sam Snead). It’s on the upper floor of The Golf Club.

On Super Bowl Sunday, the Casino Club at The Greenbrier is holding a Super Celebration, with a game day buffet for $55. The Greenbrier is home to a FanDuel Sportsbook, which can handle all your Super Bowl betting desires.

No. 2: Mountaineer Casino, Race Track and Resort

Location: 1420 Mountaineer Circle, New Cumberland

Why It’s Super: There are two big bars located inside where you can watch Super Bowl LVII. The Mahogany Sports Bar has big-screen TVs and special Super Bowl signature cocktails.

The Center Bar was named that because it’s in the center of the casino floor. And it has eight flat-screen TVs on which to enjoy the Super spectacle. The sportsbook is run by Caesars, and if you’re not into the Super Bowl, there’s horse racing action from around the world to bet on.

No. 3: Mardi Gras Casino

Location: 1 Greyhound Drive, Cross Lanes

Why It’s Super: The Sports Bar inside is open until 3 a.m. so you can watch the Super Bowl, then wait and watch it all over again before the night is through. The sportsbook is operated by Betly, and everything is close by.

You can visit the staff at the Cage to place your Super Bowl bet, or stop at one of the five kiosks situated throughout the sportsbook to gamble.

No. 4: Hollywood Casino at Charles Town

Location: 100 Hollywood Drive, Charles Town

Why It’s Super: The Barstool Sportsbook restaurant may be the biggest, most over-the-top place to watch Super Bowl LVII in West Virginia. You know Barstool, and they do everything big.

The Sportsbook inside the Hollywood Casino has 30 TV screens, plus a three-sided jumbotron with 250-inch LED screens on each side. The menu is more than just classic Super Bowl fare, and there are $5 draft beers of all kinds.

If you had only one place to go to watch Super Bowl LVII, this might be it.

No. 5: Wheeling Island Hotel & Casino

Location: 1 South Stone Street, Wheeling

Why It’s Super: Since it launched with Betly.com, the Wheeling Island Hotel has offered West Virginia sports betting through its Betly platform. There’s also a sports bar with 14 big-screen televisions that will all be tuned in to Super Bowl LVII.

The menu is extensive, with almost a dozen beers on tap and over 30 bottle and can varieties. Make sure you sign up for the Lucky North Club to earn reward points on what you buy and what you play on Super Bowl Sunday.
