What To Bet On At WV Sportsbooks: UFC, Travelers Championship, MLB Futures

UFC headlines options for the WV sports betting crowd for the weekend of June 25

The final weekend in June offers several sporting events like UFC on ESPN 12. That isn’t the only prime opportunity at online sportsbooks in West Virginia, however.

June 25-28 also features more PGA Tour action with the Travelers Championship. WV sports betting apps have new MLB futures markets up, as well.

UFC on ESPN 12 boosts, odds at WV sportsbooks

DraftKings Sportsbook WV and FanDuel Sportsbook both currently offer odds boosts for Saturday night’s main event, Hooker vs. Poirier.

FanDuel’s line on Dustin Poirier to defeat Dan Hooker by KO/TKO is up to +160, with a maximum wager of $50.

DraftKings makes that bout part of a special parlay. WV sports bettors who will take Poirier, Maurice Greene, and Mike Perry all to win will enjoy a +200 payout should that transpire.

BetMGM Sportsbook WV has both Greene and Perry as significant favorites in two-way moneyline wagers on their fights. Greene sits at -223 while Perry is at -313 right now.

Bettors may notice there are no markets for the scheduled Miranda Maverick v. Mara Romero Borella bout on the apps. That’s because Maverick was unable to get medical clearance for what would have been her UFC debut.

FanDuel also still has its UFC Method of Victory Insurance promotion in effect for WV bettors. While MMA action will be the center of attention in Las Vegas on Saturday, TPC River Highlands will command golf bettors’ eyes starting Friday.

Travelers Championship promos at WV sports betting apps

This weekend’s PGA event in Connecticut features a loaded field. That’s still the case despite the withdrawals of players like Daniel Berger and Brooks Koepka.

Three-time Travelers winner Bubba Watson, 2019 winner Chez Reavie, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau are all set to contend this weekend. WV sports betting apps contend for your wagers as well.

All three sportsbooks have McIlroy as their favorite to win the Travelers. Here’s a look at the top five to win at all three apps.

Rory McIlroy+500+450+480
Bryson DeChambeau+750+550+700
Justin Thomas+1000+1000+1100
Jon Rahm+1600+1400+1600
Patrick Cantlay+1600+1400+1800
Marc Leishman+2000+2500+1600

For WV sports betting customers who want to place wagers on more than just the tourney’s winner, there are many other options. BetMGM has 3-ball matches on all of Thursday’s threesomes for Round 1.

DraftKings has futures on which contender will lead the field after the first round. It also has a lot of round-specific props and live bets in play right now.

FanDuel expands on that with props on specific golfers at specific holes. For example, a lucky bettor who is clever enough to take Phil Mickelson to birdie or better on the seventh hole in the first round would enjoy a +550 payout if Mickelson achieves that feat.

If golf betting isn’t your thing, all three sportsbooks have updated their MLB futures after the news of a deal for a 2020 season broke. There are some special lines related to teams near West Virginia.

New MLB futures for WV bettors

BetMGM has boosted odds for its futures markets on the winners of the American League and National League Cy Young awards for 2020. Both boosts are on the favorites, who both play for New York teams.

Gerrit Cole is now +265 to win in the AL while Jacob deGrom is up to +280 to take home the NL hardware. FanDuel has super boosts relevant to Cole’s and deGrom’s teams.

FanDuel offers odds of +500 on the Yankees and +1500 on the Mets winning the 2020 World Series. A super boost of +1800 on the Philadelphia Phillies winning their first title since 2008 is available as well.

DraftKings and FanDuel both also have futures on league pennants. The Cleveland Indians are +1100/+1200 to win the ALCS this year, for example.

No matter what WV bettors are looking for, WV sportsbooks have something for everyone this weekend. With some competent handicapping and a little luck, WV residents and visitors could end the month of June with a bang.
