It is yet another exciting weekend for MMA fans around the country. UFC 265 takes place on Saturday night from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

West Virginia sportsbooks have those in the Mountain State covered for all of the action around the Derrick Lewis vs. Ciryl Gane fight. The two meet in the octagon for the heavyweight interim title bout.

The main card also features an enticing matchup between Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz in their bantamweight fight.

Lewis enters the title match as the underdog across all of the WV online sportsbooks. He last fought in February and took down Curtis Blaydes with a knockout.

Gane, the favorite at around -375, last fought much more recently. He defeated Alexander Volkov via decision near the end of June.

Despite not being favored, Lewis will probably garner plenty of betting attention. The American is a fan favorite and is available around +280 at sportsbooks.

The remainder of the main card includes the following odds at DraftKings WV Sportsbook:

  • Jose Aldo (-118) vs. Pedro Munhoz (-109)
  • Vicente Luque (-124) vs. Michael Chiesa (+100)
  • Tecia Torres (-137) vs. Angela Hill (+110)
  • Casey Kenney (-125) vs. Song Yadong (+100)

Betting On UFC 265 At WV Sportsbooks

While Gane has the age advantage over his opponent, Lewis is the larger of the two fighters. He weighs in at 260 lbs, compared to the Frenchman at 245 lbs.

Besides that, the two men are basically the same height and have similar reaches. There is a vast difference in experience, though.

Lewis is 25-7-0 in his career, as opposed to Gane, who’s got a total of nine professional fights under his belt.

The two also have different styles of fighting that might end up deciding the outcome on Saturday.

Lewis earned about 80% of his victories through a KO or TKO, whereas Gane’s wins are much more spread out. Nearly 40% of his matches have been sent to a decision.

DraftKings seems to have split the difference here, marking round three as the most likely time for the fight to conclude. It has the under 3.5 rounds posted with -148 odds, along with the over 2.5 rounds at the same -148.

Gane is obviously capable of delivering a knockout.

Under the odds for the market that determines the winning method, Gane taking the match in a KO, TKO or DQ is listed at +130.

The online sportsbook shows the next likeliest option as Gane winning through a decision with odds of +185.

Based on the betting odds and Lewis’ style, his backers could be wise to put action down on him to win through a KO. You’ll receive odds of +333, 50 points better than his regular moneyline.

Those feeling confident in one of the fighters can even take a shot at which round this one will finish in.

DraftKings includes every outcome, with options like Lewis winning in the opening round at +900 or Gane in the third at +850.

Caesars Sportsbook UFC 265 Odds Boost

One of the newest online platforms now available for download in the state is Caesars WV. It’s equipped with lots of betting markets for the upcoming UFC 265, including a couple of odds boosts for fight night.

In the main event, bettors can wager on the fight to go the distance at +170. Caesars shows a market for Lewis to win via a knockout at +450, too.

Fight fans will also have their attention on additional fights on the main card. A few of them consist of very tight odds.

Currently, the online sportsbook lists Aldo at -115, while Munhoz is available at -105.

If you’re liking the underdog’s chances, Caesars offers enhanced odds for Munhoz to snag a win by decision with odds of +250.

It appears that this fight could end up taking multiple rounds before it’s decided. You can bet on the over 2.5 total rounds at -225, or the under posted at +163.

Overall, you can take this bout going the distance at -187 or the no alternative at +138.

Another fight that should entertain is the one involving Luque and Chiesa. Again, this bout features incredibly close odds, with Luque getting the slight edge.

At Caesars, Luque’s odds sit at -120, compared to Chiesa’s at +100.

This fight is another example of contrasting styles. Luque has taken 55% of his wins through a KO, while the underdog hasn’t recorded any.

Instead, 61% of Chiesa’s triumphs are through a submission, with the rest going to a decision.

The online sportsbook sees this matchup going at least a few rounds. It set the total rounds at 2.5 for this fight as well, with the over at -163 and the under with odds of +120.

It’s also a coin flip for it to go the distance, as both options are at -110.
