Rams Host Titans For This Weekend’s Sunday Night Football At West Virginia Online Sportsbooks

As the calendar turns to November, the NFL season becomes a little more serious. Teams must find their stride now or risk not qualifying for the playoffs.

Sunday night’s contest includes two sides that are in decent shape entering Week 9.

The Los Angeles Rams are 7-1 overall and one of the best teams in the league so far. It’s clear their addition of quarterback Matthew Stafford has made a positive impact on the offensive side.

They are currently tied for first in the very difficult NFC West, along with the impressive Arizona Cardinals.

Los Angeles will take on a solid AFC opponent in the Tennessee Titans. The Titans sit atop the AFC South at 6-2; however, they suffered a major blow last week.

All-Pro running back Derrick Henry injured his foot and recently underwent surgery. He’ll likely miss at least the remainder of the regular season.

Still, the Titans feature plenty of talent and should be a lock to wrap up their division. It will be interesting to see how their offense changes going forward, though.

Of course, WV online sportsbooks adjusted their betting odds based on this news. The Rams are favored by about a touchdown heading into Sunday’s nightcap.

Rams-Titans Preview

Despite Henry’s injury, the Titans are playing some quality football. They’ve won four straight after a sluggish start to the year.

Somehow, Tennessee managed to lose to the New York Jets in Week 4. While this will probably be its worst defeat of the season, it seemed to wake up coach Mike Vrabel’s team.

The four consecutive wins included victories over playoff teams from a year ago, including Buffalo and Kansas City.

The problem for the Titans is that losing their starting running back impacts their team identity. Henry has also been one of the best players at his position over the last few seasons.

Tennessee ranks fourth in rushing yards per game, with nearly 150.

To combat the loss of their star, the Titans signed veteran and future Hall of Fame inductee Adrian Peterson. He last played in Detroit, where he accumulated over 600 yards and seven touchdowns.

He’ll join running back Jeremy McNichols in the backfield. He’s only recorded seven carries so far but provides a convenient receiving option for quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

McNichols is second on the team in receptions, with 21.

Peterson is active this week and hopefully will be effective for the Titans. They’ll be going up against a better-than-average defensive front in the Rams.

Los Angeles ranks just outside the top 10 in rushing yards allowed per contest, with just over 100.

The strongest part of its defense is undoubtedly lineman Aaron Donald. He’s won Defensive Player of the Year three separate times and could take it home again this year.

At DraftKings WV, Donald is listed with the fourth-best odds to earn the award at +800. His teammate, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, is next on that list, available with odds of +2500.

Ramsey is one of the few shutdown corners in the NFL and is capable of taking away an entire side of the field.

Rams-Titans Odds At WV Sportsbooks

Even though the Titans are shorthanded, Ramsey and the Rams secondary must play well. Tennessee also has some incredible receivers on the outside with A.J. Brown and Julio Jones.

Brown had a tremendous showing a week ago against Indianapolis. He caught 10 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown in his side’s three-point win.

He’ll need another good performance to help Tennessee score some points. It will probably need as many as it can get going up against the Rams.

Los Angeles ranks fifth in total yards offensively, as well as in points per game.

Stafford established a connection with receiver Cooper Kupp almost immediately. The two look great together, and Kupp’s stats are on pace to set a few records.

He’s posted 63 receptions already, to go with 924 yards and 10 touchdowns. For many players, that would constitute good numbers for an entire season.

Kupp leads all others in yards and touchdowns, while trailing Tyreek Hill by just one catch.

According to DraftKings, the Rams are laying -7 in the point spread for this one. They’re available at -335 on the moneyline, compared to the Titans shown at +260.

This one should have plenty of scoring for neutral fans. The game total is listed at 52.5 points, which is the highest total of any game this weekend.

Two of the Rams’ last three finished under this mark. Their tilt last week with Houston topped it, though, with 60 points overall.

The Titans are involved in lots of high-scoring affairs, too. Two of their last three games concluded with a 34-31 score.

Although both teams are in a good position at the moment, this is an important matchup for two teams looking to clinch their division eventually.

Sunday Night Football Player Props

Outside of betting on the outcome of Sunday Night Football, you can put some action down on a variety of props.

The most popular player markets typically involve scoring a touchdown. Many enjoy taking the first touchdown scorer, but most WV sportsbooks also have alternate options.

At FanDuel WV, there are nine different markets for touchdown props. One of the most common is taking a player to score at any point in the game.

Right now, the online sportsbook shows the following odds for anytime scorers in Sunday night’s tilt:

  • Darrell Henderson -210
  • Cooper Kupp -190
  • Robert Woods +105
  • J. Brown +110
  • Jeremy McNichols +140
  • Nick Westbrook-Ikhine +165
  • Julio Jones +165
  • Van Jefferson +190
  • Sony Michel +195
  • Tyler Higbee +200
  • Adrian Peterson +260
  • Ryan Tannehill +330
