West Virginia Sportsbooks Provide NHL Playoff Promotions And Updated Odds

The NHL postseason continues, and both semifinals series appear to be fairly even matchups.

The underdogs were able to win one game on the road apiece, so the two series change locations tied 1-1.

With a game every night, bettors can put action down on plenty of different markets at West Virginia sportsbooks. Several of them also offer promotions to take advantage of.

After stealing the series opener in Tampa, the Islanders dropped their second tilt against the Lightning, 4-2. Tampa Bay was considered a sizable favorite going into the series, but it could end up going on longer than some anticipated.

The two sides meet for Game 3 in Uniondale, New York, on Thursday night.

The other semifinal saw Las Vegas dominate in the first game; however, Montreal responded in Game 2. It scored the first three goals of the night and held on for a 3-2 victory.

This series transitions north of the border on Friday.

Let’s take a look at which NHL promos are currently available and the updated odds for both semifinals matchups.

NHL playoffs promotions at WV Sportsbooks

The online sports betting apps in WV are prepared for these crucial games that will determine the Stanley Cup finalists.

Most of them have some type of deal in place to utilize and get the most out of your bets.

At DraftKings Sportsbook WV, you can capitalize on its NHL Primetime Prop. Here, you can essentially receive a free bet on the first goal scorer of the Islanders-Lightning second game.

When you wager on which player will score the opening goal of the game, DraftKings will give you a free bet up to $20 even if you’re wrong. If your selection doesn’t get the initial goal in the game but does score at some point, the online sportsbook will refund your bet.

This wager must be placed prior to the game starting.

At the moment, DraftKings shows Tampa Bay’s Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov as the favorites to break open the scoring. They’re available at +650 and +950, respectively.

New York’s Mathew Barzal is right behind them at +1150 to score the first goal.

Point scored the first one in the last contest, while Barzal notched the opening tally in Game 1.

William Hill West Virginia has a promotion ready for tonight’s semifinal as well.

Bettors who put a moneyline wager of at least $50 on the game tonight receive a $50 free bet if their side scores three or more goals. Even if your team loses the game, you’ll get the $50 if your team scores enough.

Your qualifying straight bet must be for the duration of the entire game and be confirmed before it starts.

The Islanders haven’t scored three times yet in this series, but they did in their previous three games to close out the Boston Bruins.

Tampa reached the three-goal plateau last game, although it failed to do so in its two games before that.

Stanley Cup semifinals odds

The Mountain State’s BetMGM WV has a deal in place for the NHL playoffs, too.

It’s providing NHL Playoff Overtime Insurance to prevent you from catching a bad beat. If the team you bet on ends up losing in OT, then you’ll get refunded in full, up to $20.

This deal is available for any moneyline bet on any NHL team for every game in the postseason. The money you receive back comes in the form of a free bet and will go into your account within 24 hours after the bet is decided.

The four remaining teams participated in 12 overtime games combined thus far in the playoffs.

As for betting odds regarding the two series, BetMGM views two sides as strong favorites still. The online sportsbook lists the Lightning at -200 to win their series, compared to the Isles at +165.

Despite the road effort from Montreal in the second contest, BetMGM has Vegas in the driver’s seat, according to the odds. The Knights are posted at -350 to advance to the finals, with the Canadiens at +240.

Both of the upcoming third games will prove a lot in these series. They’re especially important for the underdogs playing in front of their home fans. If either can pull out a win, then the series odds will change drastically.

Tampa is favored at -140 to take Game 3 on the road, while the Isles are at +115.

Vegas has similar odds to spoil the party away from home, with odds of -165. Bettors can take Montreal to continue its momentum in the next tilt at +135.

Those who think these underdogs have a real shot of advancing should consider the updated futures odds. BetMGM has Vegas at +12 and Tampa +185, while Montreal has odds of +950 and New York is at +550 to win it all.
