Pittsburgh Steelers 2021 Props And Futures Presented At West Virginia Sportsbooks

Written By Chris Imperiale on August 20, 2021 - Last Updated on March 16, 2023

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the 2021 NFL season as one of the most uncertain teams in the entire league. Those who follow them know they had an up-and-down campaign a year ago.

Pittsburgh is looking to bounce back with a strong season, one that could be the last for veteran and future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

As the first NFL Sunday approaches, West Virginia sportsbooks are more than ready for the start of the action. They all feature props and futures for every team and the majority of notable players.

After beginning the season 11-0, the Steelers faltered down the stretch. They lost four of their last five and stumbled into the postseason.

A blowout against Cleveland at home appeared to be the start of some change in the Steel City, but not much is different. Pittsburgh is hoping to have one last run with its signal caller to try to return to the Super Bowl.

All of the WV online sportsbooks feature various odds for lots of Steelers team markets, as well as player props and futures.

Pittsburgh Steelers Odds At WV Sportsbooks

The Steelers open their regular season schedule with a very difficult road game. The league didn’t help them whatsoever, as the team will travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills.

That game is slated for a 1 p.m. EST start on Sunday, Sept. 12, on CBS.

One important aspect of this season is the fact that there’s an additional game. Teams will play 17 games total over the course of 18 weeks. There is still only one bye week.

Of course, this information is useful when considering how to place your wagers for the year.

Currently, FanDuel WV lists the Steelers’ win total for this year at 8.5. The over is available at +110, while the under on wins is at -130.

This is about where you’d expect to find this team, considering we don’t know which version of Pittsburgh we’ll get.

A 9-8 year will cash your over bets and likely have the Steelers right in the mix for one of the wild card positions.

FanDuel doesn’t see them fitting into the postseason picture this year. The online sportsbook shows their odds to make the playoffs as yes at +170, compared to the no option at -210.

Other WV sportsbooks provide different markets. At DraftKings Sportsbook WV, bettors have a wider range of choices when it comes to win totals.

While its odds also have 8.5 as the main number to bet on, you can also wager on alternates at 7.5 and 9.5.

According to the book, over 7.5 wins is available at -159, whereas the under is +130.

Those who think Pittsburgh is a lock for 10 wins can take over 9.5 with odds of +180, or the under at -230.

DraftKings allows you to pick exactly where you believe the Steelers will finish the year within the AFC North, too. It offers the following odds at the moment:

  • First place +450
  • Second place +275
  • Third place +110
  • Fourth place +475

Pittsburgh Steelers Player Props

WV sportsbooks also include player props and futures.

One of the top Steelers who could earn bettors some extra cash is rookie running back Najee Harris. He’s posted at +850 to win the Rookie of the Year honors at FanDuel.

He’s the top player available for this market who isn’t a quarterback. Harris sits behind only Trevor Lawrence (+300), Justin Fields (+500) and Trey Lance (+600).

Considering how Pittsburgh finished the year, it is looking to re-establish its running game early and often this season. That should mean plenty of Harris in every contest.

Although it could be a little premature, the former Alabama back has decent odds to lead the league in rushing in 2021. He’s offered at +2000 at DraftKings, which is tied for the eighth-best odds.

The online sportsbook lists Harris at +3500 to record the most rushing touchdowns as well.

As for the dangerous wide receivers who play in Pittsburgh, both of the first two options have favorable odds in a few markets.

Chase Claypool is at +4000, whereas JuJu Smith-Schuster owns odds of +6500 to grab the most receiving touchdowns. These are fairly decent odds considering each caught nine scores a year ago to place them in the top 10 for the season.

It was also Claypool’s rookie year, so it’s likely that his game is going to continue to improve.

Bettors have other avenues to take rather than looking for the big payout from one of these markets. WV sportsbooks also have individual player props, which are much more likely to cash.

DraftKings shows Smith-Schuster’s number at 6.5 touchdowns, with the over at +100 and the under with odds of -124.

Caesars Sportsbook WV gives Claypool one additional score and has the wideout available at 7.5 touchdowns. Bettors can take both the over and under at -110.

Super Bowl Odds At WV Sportsbooks

Steelers fans usually have lots of confidence, even if their side isn’t the favorite entering the start of the year. Perhaps Roethlisberger has one impactful season remaining and can will his team back to the Super Bowl.

Most WV sportsbooks include similar odds for Pittsburgh to win the title; however, they do vary. Of course, these can change prior to Week 1, but here are the current betting odds for the Steelers to win the Super Bowl on each WV online platform:

Pittsburgh backers can always take a step back and put some money down on other futures.

The team is up on DraftKings to win the AFC at +2200, while its divisional odds sit at +450. The sportsbook has the Steelers trailing the Ravens at +120 and the Browns with odds of +145.
