West Virginia Sportsbooks Feature NASCAR Odds For This Weekend’s Toyota Owners 400

Will the Toyota Owners 400 become the Martin Truex Jr. show?

West Virginia online bettors will find out Sunday as Truex tries to repeat on two fronts. He won this event in 2019 (it was canceled last year because of COVID-19), and he also triumphed last week.

There have been no repeat winners on consecutive weeks this year, but Truex is the only two-time winner on the 2021 NASCAR circuit. He also gained pole position for this race.

Truex’s odds are thus a bit shorter than leaders often have before the race, which will be aired at 3 p.m. on Fox.

On Thursday, DraftKings WV showed the following odds:

  • Truex Jr. +400
  • Denny Hamlin +600
  • Kyle Larson +700
  • Brad Keselowski +750
  • Chase Elliott +850

Good values abound throughout the board at WV sportsbooks

In the manufacturing realm, bettors have good prices on all three:

  • Toyota +155
  • Ford +175
  • Chevrolet +195

This provides a calculated, intriguing wager. A gambler essentially obtains a team of drivers by placing a bet on the manufacturer.

Here’s a look at the top driver-manufacturer combos. Matching the top drivers and manufacturers provides some insight about which manufacturer has the best overall lineup.

Toyota has the top two NASCAR performers this year in Hamlin and Truex Jr. It also features Christopher Bell and Kyle Busch, ranked 10th and 11th.

Ford is represented by Joey Logano in the third spot, Ryan Blaney in fifth, Kevin Harvick in eighth and Keselowski in ninth.

Chevrolet has hit the board with Kyle Larson, William Byron and Elliott in the fourth, sixth and seventh positions, respectively.

DraftKings added bets for top drivers of each car in this race: Larson for Chevrolet, Keselowski for Ford and Truex Jr. for Toyota are the favorites for each manufacturer.

This is a good one. You can not only bet whether Toyota will be the first car across the finish line, for instance, but also which driver of a Toyota car will do the best.

Betting opportunities increase closer to the race. On Wednesday morning, DraftKings put up 10 individual matchups with odds in the vicinity of even money.

This enables gamblers to create several tailored events inside of the main race.

“The bettors love this and have a preference for individual matchups,” Johnny Avello, the director of race and sportsbook operations for DraftKings, told PlayWV. “When it’s one on one or A versus B, they feel like they have a better chance.”

Here are some individual matchups that you can use to create you own NASCAR circuit:

  • Truex Jr. -125/Hamlin -106
  • Keselowski -122/Kyle Larson -109
  • Ryan Blaney -134/William Byron +100
  • Logano -118/Elliott -112
  • Kevin Harvick -106/Kyle Busch -125

Check out William Hill WV’s odds boosts, too. They went up late in the week and give added prices for various drivers to win. If that’s your preference, look at that boost as a possible bet.

Even more wagers will go up closer to race time.
