Euro 2020 Final Betting Odds Dominate West Virginia Sportsbooks

The Euro 2020 Final is set as the monthlong tournament comes to a conclusion this Sunday. Italy will battle England for the right to be called the champions of Europe.

Of course, betting on all of the amazing soccer action is available through West Virginia sportsbooks. The last game of the tournament includes lots of markets to wager on besides the standard lines.

The final is set for 3 p.m. EST on Sunday and airs on ESPN.

Both teams overcame difficult semifinal matchups that needed extra time to decide things.

The Italians defeated Spain 4-2 in penalty kicks after the two sides were knotted at one after 120 minutes.

England didn’t need penalties; however, it took them 104 minutes to take the lead over Denmark.

Let’s take a closer look at each team’s journey to the last match and examine the odds posted at WV online sports betting apps.

Euro 2020 Odds At WV Sportsbooks

There isn’t much between the two teams that will play in this year’s Euro title match.

At DraftKings Sportsbook WV, England is the slight favorite at +165, but Italy is right behind it at +200.

While those are the odds to win the game in regular time, the line for which team will lift the trophy is similar. England is listed at -115 to win it all, compared to Italy with odds of +100.

The English won their group but weren’t overly convincing about it. They took down Croatia in the opener 1-0 but then had a disappointing draw with Scotland.

England bounced back to defeat the Czech Republic in its final match in the group stage, though it again struggled at times. It won Group D despite finishing with just a +2 goal differential.

The unit improved in the knockout round when it faced Germany. Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane eventually scored late in the second half to move England on to the quarters.

There, the English put it all together and stomped the Ukraine 4-0 before meeting Denmark this week.

In comparison, Italy appeared to be one of the strongest sides in the tournament during the group stage.

It beat Turkey 3-0 in the Euro’s first match, then followed that up with another 3-0 triumph over Switzerland.

The Italians won their final game 1-0 against Wales to cruise to a group title.

They needed some extra time to advance past Austria but then looked strong in the match with Belgium. Italy scored twice in the first half and rode that momentum to a spot in the semis.

Even though it surrendered the lead late against Spain, Italy survived in penalties to reach another final at a major tournament.

Euro 2020 Betting Markets

The online sportsbooks in WV provide a wide selection of markets to choose from when looking to bet on the final.

Just like first touchdown props in American football games, a popular soccer bet is picking which player will score the opening goal. At the moment, DraftKings shows the following odds for the first goal scorer:

  • Harry Kane +480
  • No goal +575
  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin +575
  • Ciro Immobile +650
  • Andrea Belotti +650
  • Giacomo Raspadori +750
  • Raheem Sterling +750
  • Marcus Rashford +750
  • Federico Chiesa +800
  • Domenico Berardi +800

In addition to the first goal prop, bettors can put some action down on players being the last goal scorer or to score at any point in the match.

Another interesting market is based around receiving cards. With both sides featuring an explosive offensive attack, the defenders on the field may have a tough time slowing everyone down.

It’s likely that several players will get cards throughout the course of the final. Typically, midfielders and defenders are more prone to getting caught in card-susceptible situations.

Italian center backs Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci have some of the best odds to get a card at +350 and +300, respectively.

England’s Luke Shaw (+250) and Kalvin Phillips (+180) are also favorites to get booked on Sunday.

A prop that’s a little odd allows you to wager on if a player will hit the post or crossbar with a shot attempt. Naturally, most of the forwards and potential goal scorers are listed at the top.

Italy’s Ciro Immobile at +1100 and England’s Kane with odds of +800 are favored to just slightly miss the target.

Although Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and the Czech Republic’s Patrik Schick lead the tournament with five goals, Kane is right behind them with four.

He’s available on DraftKings at +325 to win the Golden Boot, compared to Ronaldo and Schick at +140.

As for player of the tournament, the online sportsbook has Sterling as the favorite at +125. Kane (+300), Italy’s Jorginho (+500) and Chiellini (+900) are contenders too.
