Bucs-Giants Matchup Highlights Monday Night Football At West Virginia Sportsbooks

Written By Chris Imperiale on November 20, 2021 - Last Updated on November 27, 2021

The NFL season turns to Week 11, where there are several great games scheduled.

After the Steelers play on Sunday night, the Tampa Bay Bucs and New York Giants meet to conclude the action on Monday Night Football.

Of course, West Virginia sportsbooks offer a wide range of markets for the nationally televised games, with lots of props available.

Although Tampa is currently shown as a sizable favorite, the two teams are going in different directions right now.

Despite the 3-4 record, the Giants beat Las Vegas last week and could feature a healthier lineup this Monday. Star running back Saquon Barkley is set to take the field for the first time since Week 5, when he injured his ankle against Dallas.

On the other side, Tampa’s lost two straight contests on the road following a 6-1 start. It hopes to regain its form at home this week, where it’s a perfect 4-0 so far this season.

Let’s examine the betting odds at WV online sportsbooks and how Monday night’s battle will shake out.

Bucs-Giants Preview

Getting Barkley back could be massive for a Giants team that’s looked solid lately. They’ve won two of their last three, with the only defeat coming by three points at Kansas City.

New York took down the Raiders last Sunday, but it was largely due to its defense. Safety Xavier McKinney had a pick-six, and the defense held Vegas to just 16 points after scoring over 30 in its previous two.

The Giants’ offense managed only 247 yards total in the victory.

If he’s good to go, Barkley should provide a much-needed spark to the unit. New York won the last time he participated in the whole game.

It beat the Saints 27-21 in overtime with plenty of help from its back. Saquon totaled 126 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.

It’s difficult to say how big a role he’ll have in his first tilt back; however, the Giants are simply better with him active.

The Bucs won’t be overly concerned, as their defense is terrific against the run. They rank second in the NFL in rushing yards surrendered per game at just 79.8.

Their defense hasn’t performed well in general over the last two weeks, though. It gave up 36 points to the Saints and quarterback Trevor Siemian before allowing 29 to Washington a week ago.

Tampa once held a comfortable lead in the NFC South, but things are much tighter entering Week 11. The Saints sit at 5-4, while Carolina continues to stay in the mix at 5-5.

If they lose again on Monday, Tom Brady and company may actually have to worry prior to the postseason.

Fortunately for the Bucs, Brady is still one of the best at his position and shows it weekly. Currently, he’s third in the league in passing yards, with nearly 2,900, and also has 27 touchdowns against only seven interceptions.

Bucs-Giants Odds At WV Sportsbooks

It certainly helps Brady that he has one of the NFL’s best receiving corps. The trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown is incredibly difficult to contain.

Godwin leads the group with more than 700 yards, whereas Evans’ nine touchdowns are tops on the team.

Even if the Giants’ defense comes to play on Monday, their offense is going to need to score some points to compete.

Despite New York’s offense ranking in the back half of the league in terms of yards and points, QB Daniel Jones is looking better than in years past.

He’s more efficient this season, completing almost 65% of his passes. Jones is also doing much better in the turnover department, where he struggled early on.

If the Giants can provide a real running game around him, he could be a capable signal caller.

They will need him at the top of his game this week, as DraftKings WV lists Tampa as the favorite, laying -11 in the point spread. The Bucs’ moneyline at home is -525, compared to the Giants available at +385.

The online sportsbook shows the game total at 49.5 points at the moment.

It’s clear that books believe Brady and the Bucs will be able to score some points, pushing the game flow a bit. The previous three matchups for the Giants haven’t broken 40 points.

The Bucs’ games have involved a lot more points, with six of them exceeding the 50-point mark.

Many might think this one is over before it starts, but that’s not necessarily the case. Even though Tampa is a quality team, it is just 3-6 against the spread in 2021.

Surprisingly, the Giants are returning winning tickets much more often, with a record of 5-4 when including the spread.

Monday Night Football Props

WV sportsbooks provide much more than just the standard betting options for NFL games, especially when they’re in prime time.

One of the most common props for these contests is the first-touchdown scorer. The market builds lots of excitement for the beginning of games and usually comes with a nice payout.

Since books see Tampa winning, they have several Bucs players listed before any Giants. This could potentially give some added value to someone like Barkley, who’s posted at +900 on PointsBet Sportsbook WV.

The betting app includes the following odds for which player finds the end zone first:

  • Leonard Fournette +425
  • Chris Godwin +475
  • Mike Evans +500
  • Rob Gronkowski +800
  • Saquon Barkley +900
  • Devontae Booker +950
  • Tyler Johnson +1400
  • J. Howard +1400
  • Daniel Jones +1500

DraftKings features a lot of additional props as well. Under its Weekly Specials, you’ll find a market where you can take there being at least three total interceptions with odds of +300.

Brady tossed two picks last week, but both starters on Monday night haven’t turned it over too often this campaign.
