William Hill online betting app launches in WV

The last few Septembers have not only brought the return of the NFL with legal online sports betting in West Virginia, but also the launch of new sportsbooks looking to take advantage of the betting frenzy. That’s the case again this year in West Virginia with William Hill Sportsbook.

William Hill launched online in WV last night, just about a week ahead of the start of the 2020-21 NFL season. WV sports betting customers can now compare its odds for a myriad of sporting events to the other four online sportsbooks in the state.

Details on the William Hill sportsbook app in West Virginia

William Hill is the fifth WV sportsbook to launch in WV. It partnered with Mountaineer Casino in New Cumberland to launch its online betting app and already powers Mountaineer’s retail sportsbook.

You don’t have to visit the Mountaineer to place bets, however. If you’ve got a computer, smartphone, or tablet plus an Internet connection, you’re good to go.

William Hill not only offers a desktop and mobile website for WV bettors but Android and iOS apps as well. If you’re new to this sportsbook, all you need to get started is a few pieces of information and a few minutes.

If you have never bet with William Hill elsewhere, you’re entitled to a promotion just for new customers. The sportsbook will match the value of your first online deposit, up to $150.

West Virginians who are William Hill veterans aren’t excluded from launch promos, however. The sportsbook is offering special bonuses for wagers this Labor Day Weekend and also highlights one contest each week for a bonus as well.

The sportsbook also has special boosted odds available on a daily basis. Some of those might be tempting for bettors looking to get some action down on the upcoming 2020 NFL season.

Right now, the sportsbook is offering even odds on both sides of Sam Darnold‘s touchdown pass total for the coming NFL season. The line sits at 21.5 and the odds on both sides of the market are -110.

That’s just a current example of NFL betting futures. Other wagers available on the app right now include:

  • Super Bowl LV winner
  • AFC/NFC conference champions
  • Division titles
  • MVP award
  • Individual team win totals
  • Whether individual teams make the playoffs
  • Player season-long stat lines

Some of these markets might be of particular interest to NFL fans in WV. Some of the best examples of teams in the region are below.

William Hill hopes many WV bettors will find these odds attractive now and for the rest of the season. At the very least, the WV launch gives bettors in the state another place to shop for the best lines on the bets they want to make.
