White Hat Studios is making its WV online casino debut with BetMGM.

Another game developer is launching new titles at West Virginia online casinos. White Hat Studios announced its latest expansion to WV, now making it live across all regulated iGaming states in the US.

The company successfully managed to launch its content across all six legal online casino states, including Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in just 13 months.

White Hat’s games will first be available through a partnership with BetMGM Casino WV.

Wide assortment of new White Hat games arrive at WV online casinos

White Hat’s quick ramp-up in the US demonstrates a commitment to the US market, laying a foundation which will allow it to grow as more states potentially legalize online casinos.

White Hat Studios CEO, Andy Whitworth, expressed his enthusiasm in a press release:

“We are thrilled to be entering West Virginia and further expanding our impressive reach within the US. This latest market entry means we are now active in every regulated state, a remarkable feat and we are proud of our dedicated and talented team for making it happen.”

Customers in WV can now enjoy White Hat’s diverse catalog of more than 100 titles, including popular games such as Deal or No Deal, Almighty Buffalo Megaways and new release Rick and Morty. The state will also gain access to White Hat’s progressive jackpot system, Jackpot Royale.

White Hat Studios expands US gaming footprint

Founded in 2012, White Hat Studios has quickly become a leader in the online casino industry, offering more than 100 game titles and setting records for speed of entry into the regulated US markets.

White Hat also announced a partnership with the Kindred Group on Aug. 8, to launch games on its Unibet Casino brand in NJ and PA. Daniel Lechner, VP of sales & marketing at White Hat Studios, noted that the company’s high-quality games would “boost both player acquisition and retention.”

White Hat’s partners also include betPARX, Bally’s, Kambi Group, Caesars Palace online casino and an extended collaboration with Rush Street Interactive for access to BetRivers and SugarHouse.

BetMGM performance in the West Virginia online casino market

The entry of White Hat Studios into WV is through a partnership with BetMGM, a prominent operator in the state’s flourishing online casino market. Operating under a license from The Greenbrier, BetMGM shares its license sponsor with a few others, including FanDuel and Golden Nugget.

The Greenbrier leads in regards to the state’s revenue, claiming 36% of the online casino market share in July among the five licensees.

While exact figures for BetMGM are not publicly available, it’s safe to say that the operator is responsible for a large portion of the state’s online casino revenue.

The WV online casino industry is thriving, with revenue in June and July reaching the highest totals since the state’s launch in August 2020. The latest figures show a total of $14.4 million in revenue for July, following June’s record of $16.4 million.

Notably, Wheeling Island isn’t contributing to online casino revenue at the moment, as the Betly app relaunched under a license from Mardi Gras Casino.

The continual growth in WV’s online casino market reflects a broader trend in the state. Minority Whip in the WV House of Delegates, Shawn Fluharty, previously told PlayWV:

“[Operators are] very good at adapting to the consumer’s wants and making more content available. I think what you’re seeing is an expansion of available products and that’s what is helping people come back.”

White Hat’s entrance into WV adds to the momentum, providing players with a broad selection of quality games and contributing to the state’s solid positioning in the US iGaming industry.
