Two WV online casino players won a combined $1.12M at DraftKings Casino.

Two West Virginia online casino players just hit life-changing progressive jackpots at DraftKings Casino.

The new DraftKings Casino WV progressive jackpot product previously had been available only to New Jersey players. Its release in the Mountain State came in the form of $1.12 million awarded from two progressive jackpots.

Both wins came from 10-cent bets.

One player won more than $670,000 on 5 Treasures. The second won more than $453,000 on Ultra Blazing Fire Link.

Progressive jackpot network features over 80 games

There are currently seven West Virginia online casinos. Hacksaw Gaming is close to adding an eighth option for West Virginia players in the near future.

Around 20 games were offered when DraftKings’ progressive jackpot network debuted in New Jersey last October. In about six months, it has grown to more than 100 titles across multiple genres in the Garden State. Eighty percent of those are available in West Virginia.

The expansive network creates an inclusive environment for a wide range of players to contribute to and win massive jackpots. As a result, grand prizes accumulate quickly, as evidenced by the jackpots already won by West Virginia players.

Popular games include:

  • 88 Fortunes
  • Monopoly Megaways
  • DraftKings Blackjack
  • DraftKings Mad Yeti Keno
  • Divine Fortune Megaways
  • Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasures

DraftKings shows why it’s No. 1

DraftKings is a worldwide leader in online sports betting, casino gaming, and daily fantasy sports. It operates online casinos in five of the six states with legal online casinos, which represent more than 10% of the US population.

The company has continued to evolve as a West Virginia online casino operator, making WV the second state to include its progressive jackpots. It has grown to claim a 26% market share nationwide, recently overtaking BetMGM as the top iGaming operator in the US.

In addition to the new progressive feature, DraftKings has forged partnerships to expand its library and ultimately enhance the customer experience. It’s not done growing, either, said Thomas Winter, DraftKings iGaming North America general manager.

“As a leading iGaming operator in the US, DraftKings is always looking at ways to engage with our players and provide them with a first-class online gaming entertainment experience. Expanding our jackpots product to West Virginia does exactly that. Offerings like our progressive jackpot enhance the customer experience and make DraftKings Casino the preferred place to play. Congratulations to our latest jackpot winners, and we look forward to more big wins like this in the future.”

WV online casinos present an attractive market

DraftKings may have overtaken BetMGM Online Casino WV at the top of the online casino food chain, but the state remains a fiercely competitive market, especially thanks to the WV online casino bonuses.

The West Virginia Lottery does not report revenue breakdowns of each online casino but rather for their land-based partner. Because some licensees have multiple operators, we can’t tell for sure who reigns supreme.

Through fiscal year 2023, DraftKings’ licensee, Hollywood Casino, has generated slightly less handle ($1.4 billion) than The Greenbrier ($1.5 billion), whose licensees include BetMGM and FanDuel.

Regardless, West Virginians gambled more than $326 million at online casinos in April, representing a 62.8% year-over-year growth.

West Virginia may not be the largest market in the nation, but that’s not stopping DraftKings Online Casino WV from making it a key component of its growth and evolution.
