During its Q2 2023 earnings call, Caesars announced an online casino overhaul. Caesars now has a standalone West Virginia online casino app with its debut of Caesars Palace Casino. In addition, one of the favorite gaming titles for online casino players, Cleopatra, is Caesars-branded.
The operator is going all in on the online casino market. The new app is expected to make Caesars an even stronger contender in the West Virginia region.
Caesars-branded Cleopatra game offered on WV online casinos
Cleopatra is one of the more popular slot games among players in the West Virginia online casino market. International Game Technology (IGT) and Caesars formed a partnership to release a Caesars Cleopatra-themed slot game, using Bespoke’s platform.
Caesars Cleopatra is a 20-payline slot game with symbols and mechanics players love. Users can also set the backdrop of the game to represent Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

New Caesars Palace standalone online casino app now available
To play Caesars Cleopatra, players will need to download the operator’s new online casino app.
Caesars announced earlier this month the platform is intended to reach the predominant online casino bettor. Players do not have to go through the sportsbook to access the online casino anymore. It is all available through the Caesars Palace app.
President of Caesars Sports and Online Gaming, Eric Hession, said during the Q2 earnings call:
“We’re finally going to have a competitive product out in the market that we can use to work with our existing database.”
The improved product enables Caesars to implement segmented marketing strategies to players.
The West Virginia Lottery breaks down revenue by license. Caesars is partnered with Mountaineer Casino, along with BetRivers Casino. Together, the pair of operators have generated $3.6 million in revenue since the start of the fiscal year.
The Greenbrier license, made up of FanDuel, Golden Nugget and BetMGM, recorded $8.3 million in revenue. Hollywood Charles Town, partners with DraftKings and PointsBet, has posted $6.7 million in revenue so far.
Caesars is behind DraftKings, BetMGM and FanDuel, and is likely in competition with BetRivers and Golden Nugget. We’ll see if Caesars can make inroads going forward after making several product upgrades.
