Wheeling Island Casino’s gaming floor is nearly 100,000 square feet and carries more than 1,100 slot machines. Wheeling Island can also accommodate overnight guests, with a 151-room hotel.
The casino holds banquets and other events in a 1,000-seat showroom, as well.
Wheeling Island conducts horse racing on its track, and has several food options guests can enjoy.

Another resort facility, Mardi Gras Casino has a 150-room hotel, in addition to the nearly 700 slots and 35 table games it carries. The hotel showcases a fitness center and bar.
The Cross Lanes casino has four dining options that includes a sports bar, too. Mardi Gras also has a Betly Sportsbook located inside the casino, as well as horse racing.
No. 5 – The Greenbrier
Slot count: 380 slot machines
While The Greenbrier might have the lowest slot total among the five West Virginia casinos, it offers a host of other amenities. The Greenbrier features 380 slot machines, 30 table games and a FanDuel WV Sportsbook.

It’s the only private casino in the country, meaning, you have to be an overnight guest or a member to gamble inside the casino.
