West Virginians can take part in the BetMGM 3-Ball Challenge this summer.

BetMGM has a new promotion in West Virginia that should get golfers quite excited.

The best part? BetMGM 3-Ball Challenge is completely free to enter. The grand prize winner gets a trip to TPC Sawgrass in Florida for four and $3,000 in cash to spend.

So, grab your phone, log into your BetMGM Sportsbook WV account, and draw your best three-player lineup each week to win weekly prizes and possibly a vacation in The Sunshine State.

Like fantasy leagues, players put together best lineups each week from draws

Don’t have a BetMGM account? It’s easy to sign up. And after you do, BetMGM will give you $50 to place a bet or two.

The BetMGM 3-Ball Challenge is a weekly promotion that involves nine PGA tournaments from June 6 through Aug. 17. One tournament has already been played, but eight more remain throughout the summer.

Once you log into your BetMGM account, find the “BetMGM 3-Ball Challenge” and submit an entry for an upcoming tournament. Each player who is participating in the challenge can submit one entry per tournament for a maximum of nine entries.

The week prior to the beginning of a tournament, each entrant will receive three draws to build a three-golfer team made up of PGA players playing in that tournament. You win if your three golfers accumulate the most points during the tournament based on the following points table:

  • Double Eagle: 8 points
  • Eagle: 5 points
  • Birdie: 2 points
  • Par: 1 point
  • Bogey: -1 point
  • Double Bogey or more: -3 points
  • Low round of the day (including ties): 10 points
  • Second lowest round of the day (including ties): 5 points
  • Bogey-free round: 3 points

There are prizes for first, second, and third plus weekly prizes

The grand prize is a trip for four people to play golf at the TPC Sawgrass course in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Winners also receive $3,000 in withdrawable bonus dollars to be used for travel, accommodations, and food. In addition to a grand prize, there are $500 in bonus bets awarded to first, second, and third-place winners who had the highest-scoring teams at the end of the season.

There are also end-of-week prizes for the highest-scoring teams. First prize is a $500 bonus bet, second is a $100 bonus bet and third prize for third, fourth, and fifth-place finishers is a $50 bonus bet.

Here are the nine PGA tournaments:
