West Virginia gamblers have a slew of new promotions at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in July.
One of them is a Second Chance Sportsbook Drawing at the Barstool Sportsbook inside the casino at 8 p.m. on July 27. To win, bettors must bring all losing bets to the sportsbook to be entered into a drawing drum. Players can submit losing bets all month long.
The winner of the drawing will walk away with $250 in PENN CASH, which can be used at participating casinos.
Hollywood’s Barstool is the leading retail sportsbook in West Virginia
There are five retail sportsbooks in West Virginia. Barstool Sportsbook in Hollywood Casino reigns supreme. Two retail sportsbooks in West Virginia collect about 90% of retail wagers in the state: the Hollywood Casino and the Greenbrier Casino Club.
The Hollywood’s sportsbook led all five in May with $16 million in handle and $1.3 million in revenue.
The sportsbook has a full restaurant and bar for guests to enjoy while wagering. There are 30 TVs, a three-sided jumbotron with 250-inch screens on all sides, and a nearly 50-foot Watch Zone.
West Virginia bettors can use the sportsbook to bet on a plethora of professional and collegiate sports such as auto racing, boxing, cycling, MMA, and others in addition to the four major sports.
The sportsbook offers straight bets, parlays, match-ups, futures, props, and in-play betting.
Hollywood has several promotions in July
There are other promotions in July at the Hollywood.
On July 30, the Progressive Payday hits its fifth month without a winner. That means if the grand prize is hit before then, the winner will walk away with $50,000. Entries must be submitted between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., and if there is no winner, next months’ Progressive Pay Day will be worth $60,000.
The Big Green Egg Giveaway promotion takes place every Friday in July. Earn entries by playing slot machines or table games. Winners will walk away with either a new Big Green Egg Grill or $1,000 in PENN Slot Play.
Every Saturday and Sunday in July, bettors can join the Beat The Heat Table Game Drawings by playing table games. Winners receive $1,000 in PENN Table Play.

The program has raised over $165,000 and most recently donated $17,996 to the United Way of Upper Ohio Valley to benefit local kids and families. Last year, it donated $7,000 to the Salvation Army for Happy Land, which sends kids to summer camp free of charge.
