West Virginians are going to feel like members of the aristocracy when visiting Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.
Aristocrat Gaming opened a branded gaming lounge at the casino in West Virginia on May 18, the largest in the WV-PA-OH region. Celebrations ensued throughout the weekend, including two $150 cash giveaways every hour, free T-shirts, and $50 in bonuses to the first 100 lounge players.
Aristocrat Lounge has more than 100 slot titles on demand
Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is one of five commercial West Virginia casinos. Four of them, including Wheeling Island, are actually racinos, as they house horse or dog racetracks. Wheeling Island features more than 1,000 slot machines, several table games, and a poker room. Sports betting is also available at the Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack sportsbook.
The new lounge at Wheeling Island features some of Aristocrat’s most popular retail and online slots in West Virginia, including Buffalo Gold and Dragon Link. Stakes are inclusive, ranging from 1 cent to $5.
Wheeling Island President and General Manager Kim Florence spoke during the grand opening of the lounge, saying:
“Everyone’s loving it. The space is completely transformed. It’s lively, it’s energetic, and the games that we have here are the most popular games that you’re going to find in the industry.”
Players will have access to more than 100 Aristocrat slot titles at the lounge. Other available games include:

- Buffalo Gold Collection
- Buffalo Grand
- Lightning Link
- Wonder 4 Boost and Wonder 4 Boost Gold
- Coin Trio
The lounge also has a progressive jackpot, which starts at $25,000. A shot at the jackpot is available to all players for a $1 bet. Excitement for the new lounge has been incredible, Wheeling Island Slots Director Ariam Aponte said.

Lounge is truly one of a kind
Aristocrat’s lounge at Wheeling Casino is not the first of its kind, but it’s still one of a kind. Since December, Aristocrat has opened smaller concept lounges at Florida’s Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee and Mississippi’s Beau Rivage Resort & Casino.
The Seminole lounge features only two titles, Lightning Link and Dragon Link. The Beau Rivage offers the Buffalo family of titles. Neither matches Wheeling’s size nor offers anywhere near its vast number of games.
With the lounge, Wheeling gains a major attraction from one of the industry’s most prominent authorities. Aristocrat has been hard at work in the last few months, signing other deals with Penn Interactive, Caesars, and BetMGM through its online casino brand, Anaxi.
Florence said the casino is thrilled to offer a new gaming experience to customers.
